| Welcome Week
As
the second part of required orientation at Christopher Newport, Welcome
Week includes activities specifically designed to help you begin your
freshman year. Because we know that there is much more to feeling at
home than signing up for classes, our faculty, staff, and upper-class
students will be on hand to make your transition to the University as
smooth and enjoyable as possible. This required orientation to
Christopher Newport will also be a great way to meet lots of new
people, especially other members of the class of 2011.
Welcome
Week begins on Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Residential
students will move into their residence
hall
on either Tuesday, August 21 or Wednesday, August 22.
Assigned
dates for move-in will be mailed to you in late
July. For athletes arriving to campus early, specific move-in
information will be provided to you by your coach.
The
first Welcome Week program for all students, commuters and residents,
will be held on the evening of August 22. Welcome Week activities
conclude on the evening of Sunday, August 26. Fall Semester classes
begin Monday, August 27, 2007.
