Setting Sail (required for all first year students) is a two-day, overnight program that exposes students to life at CNU – both inside and outside the classroom. While on campus in June, students will be able to stay overnight in a residence hall, register for classes, pick up their student ID, meet other CNU students and much, much more! Each student MUST attend one of the four sessions and parents and guests are highly encouraged to attend.

PLEASE NOTE : It is imperative that students intending to enroll as freshman at Christopher Newport University for the 2009-2010 academic year plan their 2009 summer travel and work schedules in ways that allow their attendance at both Setting Sail and Welcome Week. Full participation is required in order to enroll at the University.
