Campus Activities Board (CAB)

CAB

What is CAB? CAB is a student-run, student-driven campus organization that helps strengthen the campus-wide social and educational calendar. Students involved in CAB gain a variety of skills including: event planning and management, marketing, negotiation and contracts, leadership, and time management. In addition to personal development, members of CAB experience many “perks” of being on a student programming board including meeting and having dinner with bands and nationally recognized entertainers. But most importantly CAB is FUN; CAB members know how to have a good time while working hard.

CAB Mission Statement:

"CAB will coordinate diverse activities for the student body, stimulate student involvement in university activities, enrich campus life and foster a co-curricular atmosphere."

The committees are overseen by four officers that together comprise the CAB executive board. The following provides a snapshot of the types of events these different committees provide.

Music – Homecoming Concert (Lifehouse), Major Concerts (Josh Kelley), Fridays@4 outdoor music series on the Great Lawn, Battle of the Bands

Cultural and Lecture ( CAL ) – nationally known speakers (Herman Boone and Paul Rusesabagina), Cultural Festivals, hot topic and pop culture issues
