Honor Enrichment and Community Standards

Are you interested in upholding community standards? Do you want to ensure a community of “mutual respect and trust”?  If so, then you should apply to be a member of the UCSD! The Center for Honor Enrichment & Community Standards is currently searching for students to serve on the University Committee for Student Discipline (USCD).

The University Committee for Student Discipline (USCD) is designed to hear student conduct code cases as well as honor code allegations at Christopher Newport University.  The board reflects the composition of the student population and will seek to uphold CNU community standards.  Each committee consists of three students and two faculty members.  The UCSD will make decisions on whether or not a violation of the student code of conduct or honor code occurred and the sanctions that should be imposed. In addition, panel members will have the opportunity to facilitate educational programs and outreach.

The qualifications for this position are listed below:

  • Must be in good academic and social standing with the University.
  • Enrolled as a full time student.  
  • Have and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
  • Be available for a one year time commitment.
  • Be available for training April 24 & April 25
